Neurology

The Northwell Health Advanced Clinical Provider Fellowship in Neurology is a comprehensive, mentored one-year post-graduate program for Advanced Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants’ who desire a career in Neurology. The Fellowship program will primarily be based out of North Shore University Hospital’s Department of Neurology. Participants will have the opportunity to learn a multidisciplinary team approach to the treatment of a vast array of Neurological Disorders using the most state of the art treatments options available.

Fellows will be immersed in both inpatient and outpatient settings to provide a comprehensive and collective understanding of the specialty.  Inpatient and outpatient settings will also provide expanded clinical experience to prepare Fellows for the exciting career ahead. The Fellowship specialty track will focus on education and training in the following disciplines:

• General Neurology

• Neurovascular/Stroke

• Epilepsy

• Neurological Intensive Care Unit

• Neuroradiology

• Neuromuscular and Movement Disorders

• Headache

• Neuro-Oncology
